Hand Crimped Family Pies Have Landed
Share
Last week we quietly added something rather special to the Ansum collection: a new range of Hand Crimped Family Pies.
These are proper centre-of-the-table pies. Big enough to share, simple enough for a weeknight, and made with the same care we put into our pasties: generous fillings, golden pastry, and a hand-crimped edge that tells you someone has actually stood there and made it properly.
Four new family favourites
The new range brings together four big, winter-friendly flavours:
- Beef Brisket - slow-cooked beef brisket in a rich, proper gravy for anyone who likes their pie classic and generous.
- Beef Brisket, Jalapeno & Cheese - slow-cooked beef brisket with a little warmth from jalapeno and a proper cheesy finish.
- Chicken, Leek & Mustard - free-range chicken breast, sweet leek and a creamy mustard sauce wrapped in buttery pastry.
- Chuck Steak, Red Wine & Thyme - rich beef, red wine and thyme for the kind of pie that makes the kitchen smell like dinner is already sorted.
They are made for the nights when everyone gets home hungry and nobody wants to make a fuss about it. Oven on, pie in, salad or mash on the side if you are feeling organised. Done.
Hand crimped because it matters
There is a reason we keep the crimp. It seals the pie, gives the pastry its shape, and adds that handmade finish you can spot before you even cut into it. More than that, it is part of the promise: this is not anonymous factory food. It is made in small batches by people who care about the details.
The result is a family pie that feels useful and a bit celebratory at the same time. The sort of thing you can pull out for a Friday night, a Sunday lunch, or one of those midweek evenings where dinner needs to do a bit of emotional heavy lifting.
Ready when you are
Heat and eat or keep one in the freezer and you have a proper meal waiting.
